Peer-E-Kamil meaning " THE PERFECT MENTOR",this novel is written by Pakistan most famous and amazing writer "UMERA AHMED".Peer-E-Kamil was published in urdu in 2004 and later in english in 2011.
It has been written about eternal love of ALLAH and his Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W).In this novel you can see how spiritual love can change the whole life of Immama Hashmi and Salar Sikandar, how they both realise there is no one but only ALLAH who is supporting them.It is the story of sacrifies and suffer recompense.
Story move around between two most important character of this novel Immama Hashmi and Salar Sikandar.Immama Hashmi is a student of medical and want to become successful doctor. She belongs to very rich and known family. Her family follow"QADAYANI" believe. But ALLAH give her" hidayat " and she turned to a muslim by the help of her friend (Javeria and Sabiha). She suffer lot of hardship on her way.
On other hand,Salar Sikandar belong to a very liberal family Salar is totally opposite of Immama. He is extraordinary young boy with IQ of 150+.He wants to taste the pain of death thats why he tries lot of suicide but he fails everytime. He is complicated personality.
Jalal ansar,Sabiha, faizan are some of other main character in Peer-E-Kamil.Salar commit suicide one day but immama save his life and by this accident their story started. After this Salar help immama. They don't like each other.Immama told a very good quotation to Salar but that time Salar cant understand immama's quotation but one night he feel the pain of death and then understand immama this quotation.
Immama character is full of sacrifice. She left her home just because of Muslim religion. How she can survive without home? How salar and immama fall in love?Which night changed Salar's whole life?Who Salar became religious? And What is the actual meaning of 'PEER-E-KAMIL"?You can find answer of these question by reading this novel.
Umera Ahmed done her job wonderfully by writing this novel.I highly recommend you to read this novel it can also change your life, your thought, our way of thinking and it also help you to increase your holy love for ALLAH and his Prophet(S.A.W.W).I am wrap up my review by one quotation of Umera Ahmed:
"Some are born virtuous, some become virtuous. To be good by nature
is indeed fortunate but to become good is like walking on a double
edged sword.it takes a longer time and is more painful"
